Multi-User Wireless Information and Power Transfer in FBMC-Based IoT Networks

In order to address the shortcomings of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and extend lifetime energy-constrained Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, combination filter bank multi-carrier (FBMC) simultaneous wireless information power transfer (SWIPT) is investigated in this paper. Specifically, a multi-user FBMC-based SWIPT system proposed which user nodes (UNs) have capability for both energy harvesting (EH) decoding (ID) with aid separate antennas. A practical non-linear EH model, considers saturation effects circuit, considered. The receiver at UNs base station (BS) adopts an iterative interference cancellation (IIC) cancel intrinsic demodulated FBMC signal. sum-rate maximization problem solved jointly optimize parameters such as time, power, weight allocations. Sub-optimal schemes are comparison. Numerical results show that optimal solution significantly outperforms sub-optimal methods terms achievable amount harvested energy. Moreover, algorithm converges within few iterations.
